More Championships Impressions
With so many pics to trawl through it just takes a little time for more edited pics to surface…
Yesterday the blog had an flipping amazing 2650 hits, which was only topped at the launch back in January. I would like to say thank you to everyone who is stopping by, for the nice comments I recieved regarding my images and for the great interest in folks wanting to use my work!

Scottish Surfing Championships Thurso March 2010
On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of March the scottish surfing championships were held at Thurso East. There was some fantastic surf action going on and despite the swell being not as good as it could be on Saturday, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
The waves picked up on Sunday morning and the day stayed dry (for a change) and I got some fantastic shots. On those two days I have shot over 3500 pics and now I have the delightful job of going through all of them again to look for the best ones.
Here are a few first impressions of the two days, in no particular order.
Overall champion was once again Fraserburgh surfer Mark Cameron as well as coming first in the Mens Senior finals.

I was delighted to see some surfers braving the very cold waves at Thurso this morning. It was a rather chilly -6C air temp and the water was probably not very far behind as there were ice floats coming down from the river.

Here are a few more impressions from around Thurso East and Beach. There was not much going on apart from some nice wave shots while it was blowing a gale…
Yesterday morning I went down to the pier and spent a little “me” time to do some shots that I had in my head for a ling time and while I was doing that a lassie went out on her board. Gosh, she must have been freezing!
Baggies 17.01.2010
Yesterday I spent about 2 hours down at the rocks to shoot some guys at Baggies.
When I came home I was sort of surprised that I have shot nearly 500 pics in this short space. The light could have been a little better and the spray less, but hey, never mind, I still got some great action!
Here are some of the impressions I got from this session.
On the boards were Rick, Chris C., Chris N, Ali, Wade & two or three others that I dont know the name of… If you can identify yourself, give me a shout and I will gladly add your name to the list…
